PURPOSE: A channel setting apparatus of a display device and method thereof are provided to reduce time to convert a channel by previously setting an available channel in a display device. CONSTITUTION: A display device includes a tuner, a controller, and a storage. The tuner receives a broadcasting signal. The controller controls a broadcasting signal about a specific channel through an idle tuner. Information about the received broadcasting signal is stored(230). The storage stores channel information through the idle tuner. A broadcasting signal of a specific channel is received by using the idle tuner. The broadcasting reception set value of the received special channel is updated. |
