<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of performing energy-saving operation while achieving a comfortable air-conditioned space. <P>SOLUTION: An indoor unit includes an image pickup device. The image pickup device includes a human body detector detecting the presence or absence of a human, and an obstacle detector detecting the presence or absence of an obstacle. Based on a detection signal of the human body detector and a detection signal of the obstacle detector, a wind direction changing instrument arranged in the indoor unit is controlled.
