PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil type emulsion skin care external preparation that has moderate viscosity, no stickiness, excellent spread and body. SOLUTION: The water-in-oil type emulsion skin care external preparation is thickened by addition of (A) 1-3 mass% of an ester compound of glycerol and a fatty acid and a dibasic carboxylic acid and (B) a phospholipid in a water-in-oil type emulsion skin care external preparation comprising (C) a surfactant, (D) an oil and (E) water.
