Ultrasound treatment device and method for its operation

<p>The device has an oscillator designed as a programmable oscillator (11) that is controlled by a microcontroller (10). An ammeter (19) determines optimal resonance frequency with maximum current flow for driving an ultrasonic transducer element (12) i.e. disk-shaped piezoelectric element. The determined values are stored in a memory and processed by the microcontroller. A gate (13) controlled by the microcontroller is arranged between the programmable oscillator and a driver unit (14) for power regulation by pulse-interval-modulation. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an ultrasound treatment device.</p>
