PURPOSE: An identifying method of impact source location in buried pipe is provided to obtain the information having high resolving power by utilizing the frequency domain in which the distortion of the impact signal is minimized. CONSTITUTION: An identifying method of impact source location in buried pipe is as follows. The frequency domain, in which the distortion of the impulsive sound signal is minimized, is extracted in consideration of the sound characteristics of the real inside of a pipe buried under underground(S10) The first sensor and second sensor, knowing location, respectively measures the impulsive sound signal of the actual piping(S20). The confusion signal, distorted in each impulsive sound signal measured by the first sensor and second sensor, is filtered and removed(S30). The time-frequency is analyzed about the impulsive sound signal, from which the distorted confusion signal is removed, in the frequency domain of the minimum distortion of being extracted from the ideal frequency territory extract step(S40). The impulsive sound signal calculates the difference of the respective delivered time in the first sensor and the second sensor by using the result analyzed in the analysis step(S50). The impact location is detected by using the location of the first sensor and the second sensor and delay time(S60).
