PURPOSE: A method and system for measuring display color characteristics using motion picture patterns including a sound track for synchronizing measurement timing are provided to measure display color characteristics while reproducing a video regardless of various compression formats. CONSTITUTION: An optical measurement device includes a spectrophotometer(510) and transfers a measured video pattern to an analysis device(700). The analysis device receives a voice frame from a video reproduction device(100), and receives a video pattern from the optical measurement device. The analysis device utilizes a graphic card and a video clip of a PC(Personal Computer) to receive a voice frame for synchronizing the measurement timing of the video clip and execute a command through the analysis of the frequency of the voice frame.
