LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND SCANNING BACK LIGHT DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and scanning back light driving method thereof are provided to increase a driving current of a light source, thereby preventing the brightness of a screen from being lowered. CONSTITUTION: Backlight light sources generate light. Light is irradiated to a liquid crystal display panel. A scanning backlight controller generates a PWM signal and a current control signal. The PWM signal controls on/off of light sources. The current control signal controls the driving currents of the backlight light sources. A light source driving unit lights the light sources off in response to the PWM signal. The light source driving unit controls a driving current.
