<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel bisimide alcohol compound which contains an imide group to be expected to improve the heat resistance of a resin, has sufficient solubility in a polar solvent of an amine type, an amide type or the like to carry out polymerization reaction, and is expected to obtain a transparent polymer compound by polymerizing the compound. <P>SOLUTION: The bisimide alcohol compound is represented by formula (I) (wherein ring a and ring b are each an aliphatic cyclic structure which may have a substituent, Ar<SB>1</SB>and Ar<SB>2</SB>are each a divalent organic group having aromaticity which may have a substituent; and X is a single bond or a divalent group having 1-4 atoms involved in the crosslinking between the ring a and the ring b). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
