A sheet-metal nut for assembly on to a plain or threaded stud 12, Fig. 5, comprises a base 24 having a central opening, a pair of arms 28 extending from the base towards each other to receive the stud therebetween, and means on one or both arms engageable by a tool to disengage the nut from the stud. The means comprise tongues 32 disposed between the studengaging edges 30, Fig. 4, of the arms to limit the extent to which edges 30 dig into the stud, and for engagement by a tool 38. |
