<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for magnetically inspecting large printed matter at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: In the printed matter inspecting apparatus, a head unit in which a plurality of magnetic heads are arranged along the axial direction of mounting between rollers of a traveling mechanism is used to control the head unit, in such a way as to move in the traveling direction of the traveling mechanism with the rollers of the traveling mechanism in contact with the large printed matter, and to control the head unit in such a way as to move in a prescribed direction over a plane, in parallel with the large printed matter with the rollers of the traveling mechanism out of contact with the large printed matter, so that the large printed matter is inspected magnetically, on the basis of signal values acquired by the magnetic heads. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
