PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress burrs without increasing the number of tools such as a punch or the number of processing processes in shearing technology. SOLUTION: A shearing method is carried out by performing punching using the punch 13 to a metal plate (plate material) 100. In this method, shearing process is carried out by a step of lowering the punch 13 toward the metal plate 100 and punching a part of the metal plate 100 by a first protrusion 21 arranged at the tip end of the punch 13; a step of further lowering the punch 13, shaving the cut end face of the punched metal plate 100 by a second protrusion 22 having a cross-sectional diameter larger than that of the first protrusion 21 and moving the generated burrs to a punch 13 side; and a step of lifting the punch 13 and separating the body part 100 of the metal plate from the shaved part 100b by the first protrusion 21.
