ORGANIC EL ELEMENT, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND METHOD OF REPAIRING THE ORGANIC EL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an organic EL element which can be performed with both a top-emitting organic EL element and a bottom-emitting organic EL element and with which a repair can be performed in an atmosphere after sealing it; a method of manufacturing the same; and a method of repairing the organic EL element. SOLUTION: The organic EL element includes at least: a substrate; a first electrode layer formed on the substrate; an organic light-emitting medium layer formed on the first electrode layer; a second electrode layer formed on the organic light-emitting medium layer; and a sealing substrate sealing the substrate, wherein the second electrode layer includes an amorphous transparent conductive oxide layer, a photothermal conversion layer is formed on the second electrode layer, and the sealing substrate has a permeability to a predetermined wavelength absorbed by the photothermal conversion layer.
