<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a driving force transmission device achieving interchange of the outputs of two motors (an LF motor and a CR motor) without increasing the size of the motors and using a switching mechanism; and an image recording device including the driving force transmission device. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission mechanism 110 includes a first planetary gear mechanism 161 and a second planetary gear mechanism 181. Each of these mechanisms 161 and 181 includes a sun gear, a planetary gear, a carrier, and a compound gear. A first motor 71 is drivingly connected to a first carrier 164 of the first planetary gear mechanism 161, and a second motor 72 is drivingly connected to a first compound gear 165. A driving force for driving a conveyor roller 87 is taken out of a first sun gear 162 of the first planetary gear mechanism 161.
