<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium forcible ejection mechanism for forcibly ejecting a medium of a driving device, a drive unit, and a library device, in a library device which employs a deep cell system. <P>SOLUTION: The library device includes a drive device in a housing, which has a medium forcible ejection switch for forcibly ejecting a medium to a surface having an opening for loading/ejecting the medium housed in the housing, and an operation lever for pressing the medium forcible ejection switch from the outside of the casing.
