CRASH BOX IN AUTOMOTIVE BUMPER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A crash box for a vehicle is provided to simplify an assembling process by using a spiral tube manufactured through hydroforming and to stably guide the directivity of collapse. CONSTITUTION: A crash box for a vehicle comprises front and rear flanges(11,13) and a spiral tube(20). The front and rear flanges are installed in the front and rear of the crash box. The spiral tube, which forms a box unit, is connected between the front and rear flanges. The diameter of the spiral tube is enlarged from the front part connected to the front flange toward the rear part connected to the rear flange. Beads(B) are formed along the outer surface of the spiral tube.
