PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof connector preventing lowering of the waterproof performance without increasing the connector inserting force even when fitting parts are axially tilted. SOLUTION: An annular packing 33 sealing between fitting parts is mounted on the outer periphery of the cylindrical fitting part of the waterproof connector housing over which the fitting part of a mating connector is fitted. At least one annular projection 43 is formed on the outer periphery of the packing 33. A lip-like projection 61 which expands when the fitting parts are axially tilted is formed on a top portion 43c of the annular projection 43. The annular projection 43 has an inclined surface 43a formed on an inserting end 45 side of the cylindrical fitting part at an inclination angleαgreater than that of an inclined surface 43b on the opposite side. An inclined surface 61a on the inserting end 45 side of the projection 61 and an inclined surface 61b on the other side are formed at inclination anglesα1,β1 greater than those of the inclined surface 43a of the inserting end 45 side of the annular projection 43 and the inclined surface 43b on the opposite side.
