PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute installed application in an appropriate operation mode according to the free space of a storage means. SOLUTION: An application management part 204 acquires the free space of the storage means provided to an image forming device (S1301). The application management part 204 compares the acquired free space and the space used in each operation mode required by the application managed by the management means (S1303, S1304), and determines the operation mode of the application to be started (S1306).
