PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for the sidewall of a racing tire capable of improving driving stability, and a racing tire using the same. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the sidewall of the racing tire contains a rubber component and carbon black and contains at least one of natural rubber and isoprene rubber as the rubber component, wherein the content of the carbon black is 30-110 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component.
