摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact substrate type optical waveguide device with short length while achieving high functionality. SOLUTION: In the substrate type optical waveguide device, two Bragg grating patterns 12, 13 are positioned in different regions in a cross section orthogonal to a light guide direction, and formed in a region arranged along the light guide direction, and a waveguide core 10 has P-type and N-type semiconductor regions 10a, 10b. The two Bragg grating patterns 12, 13 include the first Bragg grating pattern 12 formed on both-side walls of a core of an optical waveguide as horizontal irregularities, and the second Bragg grating pattern 13 having a projection structure and/or a recess structure formed on the center of a width direction of the core 10 and the upper part of a vertical direction.
