A moving walk (10) includes at least one modular drive (14) located at a floor (24) and a plurality of interconnected pallets (12) in operably connected to the at least one modular drive (14). The plurality of pallets (12) are arranged at the floor (24) such that a first moving walk portion (16) located at a first side of the at least one modular drive (14) is urged by the at least one modular drive (14) in a first direction, and a second moving walk portion (18) located at a second side opposite the first side of the at least one modular drive (14) is urged by the at least one modular drive (14) in a second direction. Further disclosed is a modular drive (14) for a moving walk (10).
