PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective anti-HCV treatment. SOLUTION: The compound of formula (I), its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or their mixture inhibits serine protease activity, especially, inhibits the activity of hepatitis C virus NS3-NS4A protease. Thereby, they act as inhibiting the life circle of the hepatitis C virus, and are useful as anti-viral agents. Further a pharmaceutically acceptable composition containing the compound is provided, and it is used in any of exovivo uses or administration for a patient suffering from HCV infection. The process for preparing the compound is also provided.
