PURPOSE: A light guide plate with patterns replacing optical film's functions, and a backlight unit and an LCD employing the same are provided to improve brightness and make brightness even while reducing the amount of an optical film. CONSTITUTION: In a light guide plate with patterns replacing optical film's functions, and a backlight unit and an LCD employing the same, a light guide plate has a plurality of uneven prism patterns(170) which are vertical to the arrangement direction of a light source. A plurality of parallel prism patterns are formed on the bottom of the light guide and are vertical to the arrangement direction of a light source. A plurality of uneven prism patterns are formed on the top of the light guide plate.
