<p>1,244,191. 7-Aminocephalosporanic acid. CIBA-GEIGY A.G. 26 Aug., 1968 [1 Sept., 1967; 14 June, 1968], No. 40708/68. Addition to 1,041,985. Heading C2A. 7-Aminocephalosporanic acid is produced by treating a compound of Formula I: wherein Y is a protected NH 2 group and OR is a silyloxy or stannyloxy group, with an agent forming an imide-halide, the imide-halide is treated with an alcohol to form an imino-ether, whereby at the same time the silyloxy or stannyloxy group is split off, and the iminoether is hydrolysed to yield 7-aminocephalosporanic acid. The operations are carried out by known methods, e.g. as in the parent Specification. The ester group OR in the compound of Formula I may be wherein R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are the same or different and are alkyl, aralkyl or aryl. The protected NH 2 group may be N,N-phthaloylamino, N- 2,4,6 - trinitrophenylamino, N - silylamino, N- stannylanaino or a protonated amino group.</p> |
