PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front fork mounted to the front wheel side of a two-wheeler to attain embodiment of damping action as set for absorbing road surface vibration input to the front wheel while being optimum to expect the improvement of its versatility. SOLUTION: A fork body includes a hollow rod 3 erected in a wheel side tube 1. The hollow rod 3 defines a reservoir R communicating with the inside of the hollow rod 3, and a volume chamber formed outside the hollow rod 3. The wheel side tube 2 includes a piston part 4 partitioning the volume chamber into a piston upper chamber R1 and a piston lower chamber R2. One fork body has an extending side check valve 6 preventing the piston upper chamber R1 from communicating with the piston lower chamber R2, and an extending side damping means 5 allowing the piston upper chamber R1 to communicate with the reservoir R. The reservoir R is allowed to communicate with the piston lower chamber R2 through an extending side passage 3b. The other fork body has a pressing side check valve 8 preventing the piston lower chamber R2 from communicating with the piston upper chamber R1, and a pressing side damping means 7 allowing the piston lower chamber R2 to communicate with the reservoir R.
