<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer, a print data generation method and a print data generation program, wherein fields of an existing format file are efficiently utilized to reduce burdens on format file creation. <P>SOLUTION: The printer includes: a storage unit 14 which stores the format file d1 having the plurality of fields d11, ... respectively including data d11-1, ... of any digit numbers; a setting unit 12 which associates any range of digits in the first field of the format file stored in the storage unit with one item of a plurality of items 41 to be printed, and associates any range of digits in the second field with the item; a generation unit 12 which generates print data by extracting data in any range of digits in the first and second fields for the one item of the plurality of items to be printed in response to setting operations; and a printing unit 23 which prints the print data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
