LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a malfunction phenomenon due to the line delay between a gate driving circuit and a gate line of a gate-in-panel (GIP) type liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: first and second substrates each of which includes a display area and a non-display area and which are disposed while leaving a fixed space between them; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first and second substrates; a seal pattern disposed in the non-display area between the first and second substrates; the gate driving circuit disposed in the non-display area of the first substrate; a plurality of column spacers disposed in the display area between the first and second substrates; a first auxiliary spacer disposed between the gate driving circuit and the second substrate in the non-display area; and a second auxiliary spacer disposed between the first and second substrates along the edge of the display area. Each of the first and second auxiliary spacers has a honeycomb structure on which a plurality of patterns are arrayed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
