The invention relates to novel marker sequences for adiposity (synonym: obesity (also: corpulence, excess overweight)) and the diagnostic use thereof and to a method for screening potential substances for adiposity using said marker sequences. The invention further relates to a diagnostic device containing such marker sequences for adiposity, especially a protein biochip and the use thereof.
