During a positive period wherein electric current flows from the power conversion device to a load, a control circuit (11) makes a second snubber capacitor (Crn) be discharged by controlling a second auxiliary switch (Srn) to be ON while a second main diode (Dn) is ON. During a negative period wherein electric current flows from the load to the power conversion device, the control circuit (11) makes a first snubber capacitor (Crp) be discharged by controlling a first auxiliary switch (Srp) to be ON while a first main diode (Dp) is ON.
