Disclosed are 5-phenylamino-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-ylcarbonylamino-4-phenoxy-cyclohexane carboxylic acid compounds of formula (I) or a salt therof wherein the substituents are as defined in the specification, a process for preparing said compounds, and their use in inhibiting acetyl CoA (acetyl coenzyme A):diacylglycerol acyl transferase (DGAT1) and treating diabetes mellitus and or obesity.
