<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving apparatus for a wireless communication system in which a burden on a user relating to data transfer scheme selection can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A receiving apparatus includes a receiving means for receiving encoded data or decoded data from a transmitting apparatus being present within a specific receiving range through directional wireless communication. Further, the transmitting apparatus being present within a receivable range of the receiving means is provided with a data class information transmitting means for transmitting information relating to receivable data.
