PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform slow-motion reproduction of a scene suitable to slow-motion reproduction by detecting the scene. SOLUTION: This reproduction control apparatus 10 includes: a reproducing section 122 for reproducing a moving image; a recording section 124 for recording a moving image frame reproduced by the reproducing section 122 in a moving image storing section 126 for a prescribed time; a table storing section 128 for storing a feature pattern table for associating a feature pattern with each prescribed scene included in the moving image frame and a parameter table for associating a reproduction parameter corresponding to the feature pattern; an extracting section 134 for extracting a feature pattern included in the moving image frame stored in the moving image storing section 126, which corresponds to the feature pattern of the feature pattern table; and a reproduction control section 136 for controlling the reproduction of the moving image frame stored in the moving image storing section 126 on the basis of the reproduction pattern associated with the feature pattern extracted by the extracting section 134.
