PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction catheter which is not easily blocked even by suction of a highly viscous substance. SOLUTION: In the suction catheter 10 including a lumen having a suction port 12, a cut 13 formed in the longitudinal direction starting from a position a predetermined distance s away from the distal end on the side of the suction port 12 is provided in an outer wall of the lumen having the suction port 12. The cut 13 includes a cut provided in a position shifted in the circumferential direction of the suction catheter 10 or a position shifted in the longitudinal direction of the suction catheter 10, and a cut formed in a broken line shape is also included.
