The invention relates to a processing line for a stretched rolling stock (1), having an upstream and a downstream system component (2, 3) directly sequentially run through by the rolling stock (1). One each of the system components (2, 3) is implemented as a production line or as a system component different from the production line. A control device (10) has at least one final size provided thereto for segments (14) of the rolling stock (1) running through the treatment line, said size being derived from a desired end state (Z*) in each case, comprising the corresponding segment (14) of the rolling stock (1) after running through the downstream system component (3). The control device (10) implements at least one determinant (16, 20) of a setting parameter outputting a setting parameter (S, S') to a device (6, 15, 18, 21) affecting at least one state (Z) of at least one of the segments (14) of the rolling stock (1). The setting parameter (S, S') is output at a point in time at which the at least one segment (14) is present in the upstream line component (2). When determining the setting parameter (S, S'), the determinant (16, 20) of the setting parameter considers expected states of the at least one segment (14) of the rolling stock (1) as determined using a model, said states lying within a prognosis horizon (PH1 to PH5) of the corresponding setting parameter determinant (16, 20). The prognosis horizon (PH1 to PH5) is determined such that the setting parameter determinant (16, 20) considers at least one state predicting for the at least one segment (14) of the rolling stock (1) when determining the setting parameter (S, S') output thereby, said state being expected of the at least one segment (14) of the rolling stock (1) in the downstream system component (3). |
