PURPOSE: A short protecting circuit and a non-insulated boost-up converter using the same are provided to prevent the breakdown of a component by automatically turning off a switch in a short state through a switching element on an output terminal. CONSTITUTION: A second switching device(Q2) switches the supply of a boost-up voltage from a charging unit to an output terminal. A driving voltage generator generates a driving voltage to drive the second switching device. A first voltage drop unit(320) turns off the second switching device by dropping the driving voltage to a low level. A first voltage distributing unit(330) distributes the boost-up voltage charged in a charging unit and generates a first driving current. A second voltage distributing unit(D5) distributes a division voltage between a first resistor and a second resistor.
