PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a modified protein most effectively acting in vivo as a medicine by a synthetic method of carrying out an easily controllable modification method, and to provide a reaction liquid containing such the modified protein in high proportion. SOLUTION: The method for producing the modified protein by which the modification reaction of a biologically active protein can easily be controlled includes sequentially adding a modification reagent to the biologically active protein, and reacting them.
