PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that unused liquid quantity is increased because the liquid holding member is unevenly collapsed when the same is collapsed with the consumption of liquid in an image forming apparatus equipped with a recording head for discharging liquid droplets. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 20 has a flexible ink pack 202 holding ink, a cartridge case 201 holding the ink pack 202, and ink feeding opening part 203 for feeding ink in the ink pack 202. The two sides of a planar face part 211 formed in an opposite side of the ink feeding opening part 203 of the ink pack 202 is fixed to the inner face of the cartridge case 201 by a fixing means 204, 204 such as a double face tape.
