PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus are provided to simplify the configuration of a television by permitting a multi-socket for connecting a plurality of external devices to the television through a single port, to be attachable/detachable to/from the television. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a multi-socket(100) for connecting a plurality of external devices, and converting the signal of a relevant external device into a signal suitable for a high speed transmission and outputting the converted signal, in accordance with a user selection; and a television unit(200) for receiving the signal from the external device, and processing the received signal suitable for output and outputting the processed signal, in accordance with attachment/detachment of the multi-socket. |
