PURPOSE: A tension-reducing sprocket and an automatic timing system provided with the same are provided to reduce noise generation by supplying a selected route pattern and a sprocket having the radius of the route. CONSTITUTION: In a tension-reducing sprocket and an automatic timing system, an adjacent tooth(32) follows a route close to the center of a sprocket and is divided by a route having a radius of the sprocket. The sprocket comprises at least two different route radiuses(R1,R2,R3) in which a pattern redistributing the tension applied to a chain from sprocket orders. A pitch radius pattern includes a complete pitch radius pattern and a pattern is smaller than the complete pitch radius pattern.
