摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hierarchized optical path cross-connect apparatus in an optical path network, which is reduced in number of expensive wavelength group selecting switches WBSS, and also is reduced in apparatus scale and cost. <P>SOLUTION: The hierarchized optical path cross-connect apparatus is equipped with a branching part GE for grooming/termination processing, which branches a plurality of wavelength groups respectively inputted through input side optical fibers Fi1, Fi2, ..., FiK in order to execute grooming processing and dropping processing in each wavelength in a wavelength path cross-connect part WXC and directly supplies the branched wavelength groups to the wavelength path cross-connect part WXC without passing the wavelength groups through a wavelength group path cross-connect part BXC. Since the necessity of an expensive wavelength group selecting switch for selecting a wavelength group to be sent to the wavelength path cross-connect part WXC in order to execute the grooming processing and termination processing in each wavelength, is eliminated, the apparatus scale is reduced and the price of the apparatus id sharply reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
