PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide echo signals into signals based on the reflection waves from the surface of an acoustic lens and signals based on the reflection waves from a living body. SOLUTION: A reflection wave time computing part 33 of a receiving circuit 29 removes noises of a transducer, etc. included in initial signals from the echo signals input from a receiving part 32, specifies the reflection waves of ultrasonic waves reflected on the surface of the acoustic lens from the noise-removed echo signals, and computes the reflection wave time when the reflection waves are received by the transducer. A signal dividing part 34 divides the echo signals into signals based on the reflection waves from the surface of the acoustic lens and signals based on the reflection waves from the living body based on the reflection wave time which varies according to the thickness of the acoustic lens.
