PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of achieving miniaturization by securing sufficient holding force without providing a terminal lance and a housing lance. SOLUTION: The connector has an inner housing 4 in which a terminal 5 is contained in a terminal containing chamber 40, and an outer housing in which the inner housing 4 is contained. An opening part 42 for inserting the terminal which is opened perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the terminal 5 is provided in the terminal containing chamber 40, and a projecting part 54 and recessed part 43 to be mutually locked are provided on the terminal 5 and the inner surface 41 of the terminal containing chamber 40. The terminal 5 is inserted in the terminal containing chamber 40 perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the terminal 5 in such a manner to expand the opening part 42, the projecting part 54 and the recessed part 43 are mutually locked, and the inner housing 4 is inserted in the outer housing along the longitudinal direction of the terminal 5 to assemble the connector.
