PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet irradiation device which can prevent application of turning force to a cleaning brush for a lamp sleeve, thereby prolonging a life of a brush. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet irradiation device 1 is used which includes ultraviolet lamps 7a-7f for radiating ultraviolet rays to a fluid to be treated, ultraviolet transparent lamp sleeves 6a-6f provided in a region contacting with the fluid to be treated so as to cover the ultraviolet lamps 7a-7f, cleaning devices 15a-15f provided so as to contact with the lamp sleeves 6a-6f, a driving screw 12 rotated and driven along a spiral groove of a driving shaft 11 provided along the lamp sleeves 6a-6f in longitudinal directions, a rotation prevention portion connected with the driving screw 12 and the cleaning devices 15a-15f to support rotational driving force for driving cleaning devices 15a-15f in the longitudinal directions of the lamp sleeves 6a-6f.
