<p>A rechargeable battery configured to stably and easily interrupt a current includes: an electrode assembly including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; a case containing the electrode assembly therein and having a first opening at one end thereof; and a first plate coupled to the case and sealing the first opening, the first plate electrically connected to the electrode assembly, wherein the first plate includes a wrinkle portion configured to deform for disconnecting the first plate from the electrode assembly when an internal pressure of the case is greater than a reference pressure.</p> |
