PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR siRNA INHIBITION OF HIF-1 ALPHA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition which regulates gene manifestation expression of a transcription regulator HIF-1 alpha and is used for treating cancer and other vascularization diseases. SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical composition is produced by using a low-molecular-weight interference RNA in which a sense RNA chain and an antisense RNA chain form an RNA double strand. The sense RNA chain has a length of about 19 to about 25 nucleotides and uses HIF-1 alpha mRNA as a target. The composition is used for decomposing homo sapience HIF-1 alpha-mRNA and also is used to inhibit angiogenesis, in particularly in diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration and many types of cancer.
