<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program download system, a program download method, an image forming device, a program distribution server, and a download program which are capable of reducing an operation burden on a user who selects a program to be downloaded. <P>SOLUTION: When a user requests to download a program, a multifunction machine 100 generates device information including information of at least an operation screen corresponding to an application function being executed at the instant and sends the device information to a program distribution server 500. Based on the device information from the multifunction machine 100, the program distribution server 500 generates a download list of only programs corresponding to an operation state of an image forming device, extracted from all distributable programs, and sends the download list to the multifunction machine 100.
