摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery high in capacity maintenance rate and low in volume increasing rate at a long-lasting high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. A layer 12 which contains a positive electrode active substance derived from a monoclinic lithium-manganese composite oxide with a surface of 0.3-0.9 in a ratio of the peak intensity near 480 cm<SP>-1</SP>to the peak intensity near 600 cm<SP>-1</SP>in the Raman spectrum using argon laser, is a lithium-manganese composite oxide having a spinel structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
