PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic heater having high joint strength between a terminal member and an electrode pad and high durability to corrosion even when used in cold-hot repetitive environment. SOLUTION: The ceramic heater 1 includes a ceramic base 13 in which a heating resistor 15 is embedded, the electrode pads 39, 41 to be electrically connected to the heating resistor 15, and the terminal members 17, 19 joined to the electrode pads 39, 41 via brazing materials. Herein, the brazing materials have thicknesses of 60μm or smaller at the outer peripheral edges of the electrode pads 39, 41. The terminal members 17, 19 are brazed to the electrode pads 39, 41 via erected portions 43, 45. The erected portions 43, 45 are plate-shaped with their thicknesses smaller than their heightwise sizes. Opposite faces 63 of the erected portions 43, 45 to the electrode pads 39, 41 are shaped with their sizes being longer in the longitudinal direction of the ceramic heater 1.
