<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a packet switching network and a circuit switching network to cooperate in performing calling processing by executing a high speed, high efficiency, and error durable connection setup or connection rejection. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for initiating an enhanced communication connection between a calling party (A) and a called party (B) within an electric communication network system including multiple interconnected networks, the enhanced communication connection includes a circuit-switched connection and a packet-switched connection and the method includes a step of processing the setup of the circuit-switched connection and the packet-switched connection based on one single response generated on the called party (B) side.
