PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product-sum computation device and a control method of the product-sum computation device for switching product-sum computation processing and parallel execution processing of addition processing and multiplication processing of different commands. SOLUTION: The product-sum computation device includes: a computation part for performing multiplication processing for multiplying first and second operands input and prescribed operation processing using a third operand input in response to an instruction showing whether there is product-sum computation from outside; and an output part for outputting a processing result of the computation part. The computation part performs product-sum computation processing for adding the third operand to the multiplication result by multiplication processing to obtain a product-sum computation result when the instruction indicates performance of the product-sum computation, and performs addition processing for adding the third operant to a fourth operand further input to obtain an addition result when the instruction indicates non-performance of the product-sum computation. The output part outputs the product-sum computation result when the product-sum computation processing is performed by the operation part, and outputs a multiplication result and an addition result when the addition processing is performed by the computation part.
