PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair getting on and off assisting device, a control method thereof, and a vehicle equipped with it. SOLUTION: The device includes a drum action quantity calculation part 60 to calculate action quantity of drums 32L and 32R in a fixed time based on drum rotation information detected by rotation sensors 33L and 33R, and a pullout value calculation part 23 to calculate a belt pullout value as quantity of a belt pulled out from the drums 32L and 32R based on belt pullout information detected by the rotation sensors 33L and 33R. In a case where the action quantity of the drums 32L and 32R in a fixed time calculated by the drum action quantity calculation part 60 is 0, the belt pullout value is initialized by a belt pullout value initialization part 62.
